Why France as your European base
France sits at the geographic centre of gravity of Western European consumption: Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain, Benelux and Switzerland are all within one trucking day of the Lyon corridor. The Port of Fos-Marseille is the fastest deep-sea gateway from Asia into Southern and Central Europe — typically 3 to 5 days shorter on Asia rotations than Northern-range ports for cargo destined to Southern Europe. And unlike congested Northern hubs, the Fos hinterland offers available capacity, competitive costs and direct motorway access (A7/A54).
How the setup works for an overseas manufacturer
1. Ocean arrival & container drayage. Your containers arrive at Fos-Marseille (or Le Havre / Antwerp for northern flows). We handle drayage, unloading, quality inspection and put-away at our Miramas platform, 20 minutes from the terminals.
2. European stockholding. Your inventory sits in France under our WMS, visible in real time through the client portal — stock by SKU, batch and site, integrated with your ERP (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Sage X3, Odoo) via EDI or REST API. Bonded and duty-management options available.
3. Order fulfilment & distribution. B2B distribution to your European clients, retail and GMS flows, JIT deliveries to production lines, or direct-to-consumer e-commerce (Shopify, Amazon SP-API, marketplaces) — picked, packed and shipped from Bressolles or Miramas, J+1 across France, 24-72h across Western Europe through our 1,900+ referenced carriers.
4. Reverse & value-added. Returns management, refurbishing, relabelling for EU compliance (CE marking support, multilingual labelling), kitting, co-packing, NIMP 15 export packaging.
What overseas clients ask us first
Do we need a French legal entity to store goods with you?
Not necessarily. Many overseas manufacturers operate through an EU fiscal representative or an importer-of-record arrangement. We work alongside your customs broker and fiscal representative; we can introduce trusted partners if you do not have them yet. Bonded storage options can defer duty and VAT until goods enter the EU market.
What time zones and languages do you work in?
Management and key-account teams work in English daily. For US clients, our afternoon overlaps your morning (CET = EST+6). For Asian clients, our morning overlaps your afternoon (CET = CST-7, JST-8). Portal access, reporting and system alerts run 24/7 regardless of time zone.
How fast can we be operational?
Standard onboarding is ~90 days from contract signature: requirements analysis and design (4-6 weeks), IT setup and dry runs (2-4 weeks), stock in and go-live (2 weeks), then 60 days of reinforced support. For urgent capacity needs (overflow, supply-chain disruption), we can activate storage in days on available cells and formalise in parallel.
